The Best Phone For Mobile Photographers - Huawei P20 Pro


Huawei P20 Pro has become a hot topic on social media these days.So I decided to write about Huawei P20 Pro in my 'New Phones' section in D Guides.You will find out why this phone is the best option for mobile photographers and many more if you read the entire post.

As you all know Huawei P20 phone is also announced on the same day.But Huawei P20 Pro has made a big impact on internet and also among tech reviewers.This device screen is a 6.1 inch OLED one.And of course there is a notch on the top of the device.But if you are not a fan of notch you can hide it using display settings easily.On the bottom of the front face there is a home button surprisingly with a fingerprint sensor.It is good to see a front mounted fingerprint sensor as most of the devices these days come with rear mounted fingerprint sensors.This phone weighs only 180 grams and dust/water resistance ( up to 1 meter for 30 minutes) too.



Left hand side you can see the  nano size sim card slot.In right hand side you can see volume rockers and the power button.As both front and back have a curved glass finish the device look handy and stylish.The colour options you have when you are buying is also matters you.So Huawei P20 Pro has four colours.They are Black,Twilight,MIdnight Blue and Pink Gold.Twilight is the colour I prefer among these four colour options.


Next let us head on to hardware and software part.This phone has Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset with eight cores.Internal memory is a 128 GB one with 6 GB RAM.Phone is loaded with Android 8.1 - Oreo version.This device has a USB Type C port and does not have a headphone jack.SO you can see a Type C to 3.5 mm converter inside the phone box.The battery is a non removable 4000mAh battery which can be charged up to 58% in 30 minutes.

Camera is the most highlighted feature of this beast.The back camera setup is a three camera setup.Three cameras are mounted one under another as a vertical line.Three cameras are as given below.

  1. 40 MP RGB lense , f /1.8
  2. 20 MP Monochrome , f /1.6
  3. 8 MP Telephoto lense ,f/2.4, 3x zoom

And there is a  Laser  Sensor and a Colour Sensor to improve the picture quality.And also the AI system improves the quality while shooting.You can take excellent photos in low light using Huawei P20 Pro.AI system has 19 modes to help you to take the best photo.These 19 modes are the best settings for each situation.If you are trying to take a photo of your dinner,AI system will identify it as food and apply the best settings and let you to take the best photo.This device has a super slow motion option which is 960 fps with the quality of 720P.4D predictive focus will help you to focus fast moving objects while shooting.The front facing camera is a 24 MP one.And the face unlock feature is super fast in this device.
